Eventually the time comes when those with powers have a choice to make: do what they feel is right or let power corrupt. Sometimes these choices, though made for the right reason, are what make heroes

Grant Ward knew he had done wrong. Kidnapping was terrible, a serious offense, let alone kidnapping these many people. Then again, he was Phobos. As a villain, he did what he could for his wife and kid. The money he would recieve from these heroes because of their families was enough to not have to rob anymore. His family would be set. He watched from his safe room as the first of the prisoners woke up.

"Where the fuck..." Nolee muttered as she put a hand to her head and sat up. She had been fighting along side Oliver Queen, better known as The Green Arrow, for the first time in ages and the next thing she knew, she was here and...glancing at a mirror in the musty room she could see that she was not dressed as Siren but instead wore the childish garments she had once worn as Songbird.

Someone was fucking toying with her.

Standing up, she saw others in the room with her, all laying out cold. She recognized Wally West, the new Flash, who hated her for her feelings about heroes and killing. Other than that, she had no recognition of anyone. Hearing someone else groan, she turned to see another woman standing up. She was in a jumpsuit for...was that the S.H.I.E.L.D logo? "Who are you?" she asked the other woman, prepared to fight.

"Agent Rebecca Coulson, with S.H.I.E.L.D, you?" the other woman, Rebecca, seemed ready to fight to defend herself if need be.

"They call me Siren," she replied with a deep breath. "Any clue where we are?"

"Don't recall," Rebecca muttered before she turned to see the others. "Think we should wake them up?"

Nolee nodded, kicking Wally with a grunt, "Get up. Now."

Wall grunted and glared at Nolee as he opened his eyes, "What the hell Siren..." He sat up and rubbed his side, he looked down and frowned angrily. Someone had the nerve to put him into one of his Kid Flash costume, it had to be someone that knew about who he was. "Did you do this Siren... Pretty low if you did..."

Pym laid with his head in his hands, it wasn't something new for his parents to find him sleeping like this. He wondered if it was his dreams about the other life that caused him to do this, something he had never had the nerve to tell his parents about. A life where he had been raised by Tony Stark because his parents were dead, there had been other kids like himself. He knew Tony remembered it, they often talked about the memories and wondered if any of the others were there.

He slowly sat up though, the noise of talking making him realize he hadn't been asleep. He looked around and frowned when he saw the strangers in the room.

"Ugh...what now?" Groaned a young man nearby the others. He pulled off his red hood, which had half fallen off anyway and slowly sat up, quickly freezing after taking in the surroundings.

Small room with a bunch of other confused people? Not good. Don't panic Billy Kaplan, you don't know the whole situation yet... He thought to himself, taking a deep breath before using the wall to help get to his feet. "Oh no.... Noo. Anyone know what's going on here?"

In a corner of the room, there sat another man; a blonde in a long coat. While he was awake, he stayed silent, his chin resting on his knees as he watched the others. He frowned as they spoke to each other, trying to figure out where they were. He was trying to do the same, dozens of thoughts running through his mind.

"No one here I know. Good. Not my fault, for once." He muttered to himself.

"Did I do that? Do you really think that I would dirty my hands with a sidekick costume after fighting so long to make a name for myself as Siren? If you haven't noticed, someone decided it would be funny to dress me up as Songbird," Nolee rolled her eyes. "No, someone else did this and I plan on finding out who did it, even if I have to fight my way out of here."

Rebecca took a look around to assess the situation. Pym Jr? Check. She recognized him as the youngest man in the room. Whoever had captured them hadn't cared too much about age. Kid Flash who had grown up to be The Flash? Check. The blonde, who she now knew as Siren, had helped her figure that one out. The other two were completely knew to her, however. She had been pretty sure she had seen one of them around before. That red hood...was it Wiccan? Maybe she did know him. His powers would be helpful if they planned on getting out of here. Watching the other she tried to recognize him. Hadn't she seen him in the papers?

"No, I don't know where we are or who put us here. We haven't assessed the situation," replied Rebecca as she looked at the man she knew as Wiccan. "Trust me, if we can find a way out of here it will be great."

Pym stood up, he didn't know any of these people at least he didn't think he knew any of them. He did recognize the S.H.E.I.L.D. logo, after all he had spent a lot of his childhood on S.H.E.I.L.D bases. He looked at the two that were bickering, seemed like they knew each other pretty well and he had heard about Wiccen. The last one he had no idea who he was, "What is this place?"

"Fight who? The innocents that are stuck here with you?" Wally snarked, he touched the wall. If he had better control of his powers he could try and vibrate through the wall, but the explosion would hurt the others in the room most likely.

"Great." Billy replied sarcastically, rolling his eyes. "Well it's nice to know these guys all have the same kind of ideas." He leaned against the wall, crossing his arms. Though he seemed fairly calm, he was panicking on the inside.

"Who says you're all innocent?" The man in the corner asked, finally speaking. "For all you know the person responsible has a grudge...or grudges in this case."

"You know what Wally, you're really irking me," sneered Nolee as she took one look at the hero before turning to the man in the corner. "Oh, look, he finally decided to speak up. For everyone who doesn't know who this...delightful...man is, meet John Constantine. We've met on a few occasions but I was so young that he probably doesn't recognize me."

Rebecca looked at Pym and then at Wiccan, "Good to see I know someone in here that I can work with. Mr. Wiccan, Mr. Pym, I have no idea where we are but I'm sure we can get out of this. It's no worse than some situations I've been in."

Wally just sneered back at Nolee before glancing at the rest of the room, it sort of sucked that the only one out of the whole room he knew was Nolee.

"Oh you mean this isn't the first time you've woken up with a bunch of people you don't really know without knowing how to get out..?"

Billy laughed, despite the situation. "Mr Wiccan? There's no need for that, really. I- I'm pretty sure anyone in Shield is higher up than me and I doubt there's all that much age difference between us." He nodded afterwards in response to Rebecca's other words. "Sure. I'm used to working with others but...this- this is hardly what I'd call a 'fun' situation..." He said, his panic starting to show on the outside now.

"The hell do you mean we've met before? I have no idea who you are love." Johnny said rudely, pulling a face as he looked at Nolee. He was sure he'd recognise someone like her if he'd met them, but then given his past, he realised maybe he wouldn't. He turned on Wally then, glaring at him.

"No. I mean if I'd pissed off whomever took us, you'd all be friends of mine and I'd likely get to watch you die. So be thankful I have no idea who you are kid."

((I think it was Wally talking? I can change it if not))

Rebecca nodded to show that she understood Wiccan, not remembering the boys actual name. Her eyes scanned the area, not showing the anxiety that she actually felt. "So, this is not a fun situation. But...my mentor taught me that there was always a way out of everything. We can find a way out of this just the same. Does anyone have any clue where we might be?"

Nolee looked at Constantine, her eyes not betraying her emotions. "We've met once. Zatana introduced us. Then again, I was still a little girl. About seven or eight."

Pym shook his head as he looked around, "Never seen a place like this..." He frowned before shrinking down to get a closer look at the ceiling and walls.

Wally frowned at the man called Constantine, he didn't really care of the man knew him or not, but it ticked him off the man had been so rude.

Billy frowned and shook his head. "Nope, no idea. Sorry" He sighed, brushing a hand through his short, dark hair. "Although, I could try something..."
He pulled his red hood back up, covering his eyes in hopes it would help stop him getting distracted and blue magic surrounded Billy's hands as he focused, chanting under his breath as he tried to cast one of his spells. "Iwanttogetusalloutofhere. Iwanttogetusalloutofhere..."

"Wait- You know Zee?" Johnny asked Nolee, raising an eyebrow. "...that reminds me, I haven't seen her for a while," He said, speaking more to himself now. "Probably doesn't even know I'm alive, she'll be pissed..."

Grant saw how close they were to figuring out to work together. He focused his power on the room. It didn't matter that they couldn't see him. He could see them and thus could set his spell to work. His eyes glowed green as the toxic looking mist made it's way into the small room.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Rebecca listened to Billy and Pym before noticing the mist. Her mind became hazy and she saw someone in front of her. "Dad?" she asked softly before reaching out to touch him. But the moment she did, her hand went through him. It wasn't her father. It was a ghost. Another version of her father appeared behind her and she tried to touch him but this one was metal, a life model decoy. No matter how many version of her father appeared around her, not a single one of them was her father.

Phil Coulson was dead and she knew it.

Falling to her knees, Rebecca sobbed. She was terrified. She knew that her father had died once when she was a child but she had hoped....no...she had prayed that he was alive now.

Nolee watched what was happening with Rebecca before her own fear set in. She saw herself in a courtroom, the courtroom on the Watchtower which was reserved for League members. She was on trial, for the murders she had committed over the years. "Guilty..." voices rang out around her, though she could not see faces, "...murderer..."

Nolee screamed, "I'm NOT! I'M INNOCENT!"

Wally was frozen in place as the spell took hold, all he could see was his uncle Barry. He was running like the day he had been killed, suddenly he could hear whispers around him. He knew who the voices were, it was some of the members of the league. Telling him he wasn't worthy of running in his uncles footsteps, saying he should of been the one killed not Barry. That a child shouldn't be in the league.

Pym found himself falling, he was being hunted. The robots where trying to find him, they already had Tony and the others. He couldn't let himself get caught, the world was doomed if he was. His friends were doomed if they caught him, he didn't know where to go and all he could do was fly.

Hearing Rebecca speak as if she'd seen her father, Billy stopped his spell, peeking out from under his hood to see, curious. As far as they all knew, there was no way for her father to get into the room they were in. "What are you talking about, there's no one else-" He jumped as Nolee screamed, quickly pushing his hood off to try get a better view of what was going on. It turned out to be a bad idea.
Billy froze when he saw the others were suddenly gone, replaced instead with two gravestones, one belonging to Cassie Lang, daughter of the second Ant-Man, Scott Lang; the other was the Vision he'd known. Both of them were his former teammates who'd died because of a situation Billy's family had caused. As he stared at them, more gravestones appeared, belonging to the rest of his teammates; all of whom were still living.
"No- Nonono..." Billy said, shaking his head, taking a few steps back. "They're not- they can't be..."

Still in his corner, Johnny swore before putting his head in his hands. "Not this again. It's still the small room. I'm not mad..."

Rebecca sobbed into her hands. Dead. He was dead. He was....he was...

No.

Phil Coulson was alive. She had spoken to him that morning. He had kissed her head, told her that he would always love her, and then told her that he was going on a mission with Fitz. Fitz wouldn't let her father die. He was too good of an agent, regardless of if he usually did field work or not. Taking a deep breath, Rebecca repeated that mantra to herself. She repeated that he was alive.

Alive. Alive. Alive.

As she continued that mantra, the room around her became a bit clearer. She was being held against her will with a bunch of other men and women. They had to get out of here. They just had to. She put a hand on Wally's shoulder, urging the young man to snap out of it.

"Whatever you see, it's not true. It's what you fear. It's a lie. A lie, do you hear me?" she shouted at the others. She had to be the leader now.

Nolee looked at the other woman as the words broke her out of her funk. It was a lie? She wasn't a murderer? No...no that was impossible. She was a murderer. She murdered the villains that it took her to help the world. She cringed lower, hearing the voices. She could pick out a few here and there. Oliver was telling her how weak she was to be doing this. Bats was condemning her for her lifestyle. And Dinah...Dinah was telling her how she regretted saving her all those years ago.
