Black sheep

Bishop moved so Dante could head inside, smiling fondly.

Dante hurried inside, heading towards the kitchen, hungry.

The cat shifted in his arms, looking around at the smell of food, someone already cooking.

Dante could smell the food cooking as well when he entered the kitchen.

"Oh hey Dante." Remy smiled when he saw him. "Who's your friend?"

Dante smiled. "Hey Remy." He looked down at the cat, "Haven't picked out a name for him yet. You fixing your Gumbo for Alex?" He asked with a smile, settling Loki on the counter.

"Not just Alex," Remy huffed, shaking his head. "Point is to share it with everyone." He added, gesturing towards the big pot he was cooking it in.

Loki watched them curiously, looking nervous when he was put on the counter. He crouched low, his ears going back.

Dante sniffed the air. "Smells so good Remy." He said as he got two bowls and some milk before starting to looking for tuna.

"Of course it does." Remy chuckled, turning to watch him. "What're you doing?"

"I think he's hungry and I figured this would be okay to fed him." Dante answered as he set the bowl of milk in front of the cat before doing the same with the tuna.

"Hm. I s'ppose so? Some cats can be allergic though..." Remy said, frowning slightly. "He okay?"

Dante frowned when he noticed the cat was scared and carefully picked him up.

Loki made an irritated sound, trying to cling to the counter, though there was nothing his claws could dig into.

Dante wasn't sure what to do, he looked to Remy for some advice, hoping he'd know what to do.

"Maybe it's scared?" Remy shrugged. "Is a new, big place after all."

Dante nodded, he could understand that, he felt bad that the cat didn't trust him yet.

"Maybe pet it? Or go somewhere quieter if the food doesn't help." Remy shrugged.

Loki squirmed in Dante's arms for a moment before suddenly stopping. It was hard to see through his black fur, but even in the feline form he was still injured, making him too tired to keep fighting to get away.

Dante nodded and carefully started to pet the cat, hoping to calm it. He noticed his figures felt wet as he did.

Loki seemed to relax a little at the petting, but dug his claws into Dante's arm as his fingers brushed too close to the injury.

Dante looked worried as he looked at his fingers. "Poor kitty, your hurt..."

Remy froze at the words, dropping what he was doing to turn and look. "It's hurt? Where?" he asked, having always had a soft spot for cats.

"He's hurt around his ribs... He's bleeding." Dante said worriedly, looking at the older mutant and hoping he'd be able to help.

"We can take 'im downstairs." Remy said, turning off the stove before quickly going over to Dante. "Surely Hank can do somethin'. Can't be that much different from him fixing up himself or Kurt..."

Dante nodded as he carefully gathered the kitten up in his arms again, he hoped Hank would be able to help.
