Eventually the time comes when those with powers have a choice to make: do what they feel is right or let power corrupt. Sometimes these choices, though made for the right reason, are what make heroes

Jean Grey/Phoenix Empty
PostSubject: Jean Grey/Phoenix   Jean Grey/Phoenix EmptyTue Jul 23, 2013 3:34 am

RP Name: Sami/Shea

Jean Grey/Phoenix Jean-110

Person used as character face: Famke Janssen

Character Name: Jean Grey

Alias: She uses her real name, but occasionally goes by ‘The Phoenix’. Formerly Marvel Girl.

Power: Jean is a level five mutant with strong and potentially limitless telepathic, telekinetic and empathetic abilities.

She is capable of using her powers in various ways, such as using her telepathy to read minds and memories of people, as well as communicating through minds. She can also create psionic blasts which range from causing mild pain to her target, knocking them out, or even killing them.
With her telekinesis, Jean is able to move objects with her mind, levitate them and even control the molecular structure (such as disintegrating them). She can also generate light and heat.

Second Generation Hero? If so, how did you pick up the legacy from your predecessor?: First generation.

Costume: Whatever the current X-Men outfit is normally with her own twist, often involving the colour green. The most recent one though was black leather. As the Phoenix, she wore a red outfit.

How long have you been a hero?: Jean was one of the original founding members of the X-Men as a young teenager.

Character Bio: Since her childhood, Jean Grey had mutant powers and abilities that were beyond all known limitations. Fearing that Jean could not control her vast psychic powers, Charles Xavier put psychic blocks around her subconscious mind to keep her abilities under control.
As a result while growing up, Jean developed a dual personality - one being her usual self and the other her vastly strong, powerful side that called itself the Phoenix Force, which emerged when she was angry or upset. Jean Grey still managed to develop strong telepathic, empathic, and telekinetic abilities in spite of the blocks.

Jean Grey soon became an X-Man, and served as a doctor at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. She was in a long-term relationship with Cyclops. A love triangle later developed between her, Cyclops, and Wolverine.

After the events at Alkali Lake, Jean sacrificed herself to allow the other X-Men to escape the flood. Some time later, her former lover Cyclops retuned to the lake and blasted it with his powers, after which Jean emerged; alive again. The Phoenix was taking over though, which eventually led to her killing both humans and mutants until she was stopped and killed by Wolverine.

Since then, Jean has recently reawakened, back to her usual self only without memories of her time as the Phoenix. She remembers nothing after her apparent death back in Alkali lake or certain parts of her past in general and is currently wandering and helping others on her own.
