In Russia, Nicholai was a very influential man who was in charge of lots of missions. When a more powerful agent came to work for the KGB, Nicholai was not only replaced but felt bitter towards all with super human powers.

Character Bio:
Nicholai Barishnakof was once one of the most powerful Russian Intelligent officers ever to work for the KGB. He was proud, independent, and strong but never once had met a man or woman who was more powerful than he was. That all changed when the agency began recruiting the super powered. He felt unneeded and abandoned, coming to the agency Checkmate after meeting Red Queen Dia Waller.
